TYPES OF EXISTING COOKIES:

Long term cookies enable the resume of your navigation in accordance with the settings you have previously defined, such as language preferences. They are stored in your device after your visit to the website and they will be kept during the period specified on them as “expiration date” or “duration”.

Cookies can be differentiated and categorized in accordance with the several purposes they can be associated with, regardless being first party cookies or third party cookies. Here are some examples:
NECESSARY – these cookies are always active even if you do not accept this policy since they aim at the system’s operability. Specifically, they enable the access to the basic navigation functions and to the secure areas of the website.
SECURITY – These tend to be long-term cookies, since they intend to avoid risks to the website’s security, namely used against general identity usurpation acts. They also may be used to help in determining the necessity of implementing new security measures, and they do not need the users’ acceptance.
LOG IN, AUTHENTICATION – When a user logs in to the website, these cookies store information such as an ID number and the log in time on your device, enabling you to browse the website or other webpages opened in the navigator without having to constantly log in. They tend to be temporary cookies.
PREFERENCES – This type of cookies saves preference settings, such as language or privacy preferences, so they do not have to be reset on each successive visit to the website. According to their nature, they tend to be long term cookies.
PROVIDED INFORMATION – This type of cookies stores information that a user intends to provide while visiting the website. These cookies store, for instance, filled but not submitted forms. Thus, even if you log out to from the website, you can reset such options when you log in again. The storage of this information is made by long term cookies.
TARGETED ADVERTISING – This type of cookies collects information related to the use of the website (such as articles seen, clicks made, advertisements watched), enabling the identification of the user’s interests, in order to address him advertising that is in his best interest. This type of cookies can be used to help eventual traders to display interest-based advertisements, providing a personalized experience to the user when he visits the website. They tend to be long term cookies since they are stored to be read in a later visit to the website.
STATISTICS – These cookies collect information that is able to measure the efficiency of the provided services and the commercial activity that was developed, for instance, by collecting the IP address from the website’s users and by controlling their number of visits. Their purpose is to develop statistics on the operations that are available to the user. For these reasons, they tend to be long term cookies.
PERFORMANCE, ANALYSIS – The purpose of these cookies is to seek if the necessary resources for a proper use of the website are available to the user, and if the available mechanisms are the most appropriated for that purpose, in order to maintain a continuous performance enhancement. These tend to be long term cookies.

We do not have power of disposal over the way that those social networks (Plug-in providers) use[7] the information provided by the user. Although Plug-in disabling may turn unviable a proper experience when browsing the website, such option can be made in accordance with each navigator settings, after which none of your data can be transferred to Plug-ins.
