Poças Colheita

Poças Colheita

The history of Poças Colheita Port is almost lost in the mists of time.
Colheita, which means ‘harvest’ in Portuguese, is the result both of nature being exceptionally giving as well as of the lengthy rest that the oenologist wisely allows the grapes during their time once off the vine.
As it is bottled several times over its lifetime, Colheita Port is passed on as a legacy from generation to generation, so that the identity of Poças is never lost in time.
From the year of its harvest, its time in the bottle allows this wine to assume the desired form and complexity. “To give life to a Colheita is to prepare a wine for a long journey through time”.

  • Ageing: Fines in oak casks for a period no less than 7 years. During maturation the wine mellows by oxidization similarly to Old Port Wines, and presents characteristics that are unique of the harvest year
  • ABV: 19.82%
  • Grapes: Field blend
